The member representing Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha federal constituency, Honourable Dozie Nwankwo has said that his interest to represent Anambra Central in the Senate in based on his love for service to the people.
Hon. Nwankwo was speaking on Saturday, 12th February, 2022, at the palace of the traditional ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu, Igwe Sir Ralph Obumnaemeh Ekpeh, where he had gone to intimate him, and members of Enugwu-Ukwu traditional cabinet of his intentions, to obtain royal blessings and the support of the monarch.
“Charity begins at home. Having served my people in the House of Representatives for two terms, it is proper that I begin this next phase of my political life where I started originally, at the palace of Eze Enugwu-Ukwu na Igwe Umunri”, Hon Nwankwo said.
Continuing, he said: “I am running on a platform of strong representation. I am a loyal party man and have championed the cause of our party, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) since I joined. I believe that Ndi Anambra Central deserve better representation. It is time for youths to show what they can offer Nigeria at the highest level of governance”.
In his remarks, Igwe Ekpeh described Hon. Nwankwo as a worthy Igbo son who has distinguished himself at the National Assembly. “We are proud of you and your accomplishments in business and in politics. You have demonstrated your capacity to do good for people. You are our son and we will support you all the way. Your ambition to go to the senate will be supported by the traditional cabinet, Ndi Enugwu-Ukwu and people of Anambra Central. You have my royal blessings”.
In their separate remarks, the deputy traditional Prime Minister of Enugwu-Ukwu, Ozomkpu Chief Clement Nwafor, the Secretary of Enugwu-Ukwu traditional cabinet, Ozomkpu Chief Frank Nwokike, the President General of Enugwu-Ukwu Community Development Union (ECDU), Bonny Ozo Nkwuaku appreciated Hon. Nwankwo and pledged the support of Ndi Enugwu-Ukwu for his Anambra Central Senatorial ambition.
