All over Anambra Central senatorial districts comprising 7 local government areas, teaser billboards have been springing up carrying a unique and simple message ‘UZU’. Several branded vehicles carrying the same message have also been sighted.
Speculations are ripe on what it stands for. It is more confusing as the message is in black and does not depict any political party colours. Many however, have concluded that it has to do with the coming 2023 general elections. Others wonder who or what ‘UZU’ is.
Time shall tell because the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the timetable for the conduct of the 2023 general elections.
Since the ‘UZU’ teasers are only limited to Anambra Central, it will be safe to conclude that Senator Uche Ekwunife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who currently occupies the position is in for a tough challenge.
Umunna TV understands also that Senator Victor Umeh of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who once occupied the seat is also warming up.
Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, also of APGA and who currently represents Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha in the Federal House of Representatives has also publicly declared that he will vie for the same senatorial seat.
Interesting political times await Anambra Central Senatorial district.
