Awka Millennium City (AMC), operators of the joint venture real estate development project between the Anambra state government, and MP Infrastructure Ltd has been honoured with the ‘Pillar of Igbo Entrepreneurship Scheme (Igba-Boi) Award’.
The award presentation took place on the sidelines of the 2022 National Summit on Igbo Entrepreneurship (Igba-Boi), which took place in Awka on Thursday, 10th March, 2022.
The Managing Director of Awka Millennium City, Mr Chimmy Ogbuebile was accompanied by the Project Manager, Engineer Obinna Nnoruo to receive the award on behalf of the Chairman, Chief Dr. Clem Nwogbo.
Presenting the award, the national convener of the Igbo Apprenticeship Scheme summit, and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Chief Dr. Uche Nworah, said that Awka Millennium City, which co-sponsored the summit, was being honoured for providing opportunities for Ndi Anambra in various capacities, as trainees and apprentices at their various project sites.
Receiving the award, Mr Chimmy Ogbuebile thanked the organisers of the summit, Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), and Awka Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (AWKACCIMA), and promised that Awka Millennium City will continue to provide apprenticeship and skills development opportunities to young persons. “In line with the vision of our Chairman, Chief Dr. Clem Nwogbo, we have a sustainable business model that includes supporting and helping to grow the next generation of business leaders wherever we have our footprints. We will continue to do that because it’s the right thing to do”, Ogbuebile concluded.
