The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted Chief Willie Obiano, former Governor of Anambra state bail. The agency also stressed that the recent arrest and questioning of Chief Obiano is not political. The EFCC chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, said this on Monday, 21st March, 2022, while fielding questions from reporters at the 5th Annual General Assembly of the Network of National Anti-corruption institutions in West Africa.
