The leading aspirant in the race to represent the good people of Awka North and South in the federal House of Representatives come 2023, Hon. Obi Nwankwo has praised the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA), and the national Chairman of the party, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, for releasing the protocols for the purchase of forms, and timetable for the conduct of the party primaries.
Speaking to the media, Hon. Nwankwo said: “Our leaders in APGA have consistently demonstrated good faith, and have led by example. Every election year, APGA leadership under our indefatigable national Chairman, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, have always demonstrated the highest sense of party politics professionalism. Aspirants into the various positions clearly can see from the publication in national dailies what is required of them, what they need to do, and by when”.
Continuing, Hon. Nwankwo said, “That’s why our party APGA remains very peaceful and stable. APGA is in fact the best organised political party in Nigeria. We are the only political party in Nigeria that has its own building serving as its national headquarters in Abuja. The others are still operating in rented offices. Everyday in the media, we are inundated with all manner of negative stories and internal party squabbles concerning the other major parties. What you hear about APGA are only positive stories, of continuing and progressive representation of the people, and exceptional service to Nigeria by its elected party members in different positions”.
Concluding, Hon. Nwankwo said that he is happy with the outcome of the just concluded NEC meeting of the party in Abuja, and the assurances by the party leadership that the forthcoming party primaries will be free and fair. He continues to wish the good people of Awka North and South, Ndi Anambra, Nigerians, and the new government of Mr Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo the very best.
