The enforcement team of the Anambra State Physical Planning Board moments ago visited the site of a 5-storey building under construction which collapsed yesterday, Thursday, March 31, 2022.
The team led by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Barr. Chike Maduekwe sealed the site and said that investigation into the cause of collapse will commence immediately. He informed that the developer will be arrested and made to face the law.
Commenting on the incident, the President, Umuogali village, Oba, Dr. Kingsley Obasoanya blamed the collapse on incompetence of workers.
He observed that the job was awarded to quacks and promised to personally arrest the site engineer and hand over to government.
The Team also sealed off some sites at Oba Airport whose structures do not have requisite government approvals.
