I Am In The Awka North And South Reps Race For The Good Of Our People, Says Hon. Obi Nwankwo As He Picks Up Expression Of Interest And Party Nomination Forms

“I am in the race to represent the good people of Awka North and South in the Federal House of Representatives for the good, and in the interest of our people”. These were the words of Hon. Obi Nwankwo today, Friday, 1st April, 2022, as he collected the expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, to contest to represent Awka North and South in the Federal House of Representatives. 

“For long, our people have yearned for effective and quality representation at the Green Chambers. With my experience,  having run successful businesses in Lagos, other parts of Nigeria and created jobs for our people, my exemplary record of performance and experience as Commissioner of three different strategic ministries (Science and Technology, Public Utilities and Environment ministries), in the Willie Obiano administration (from 2014 – 2022). I believe that I am the most qualified aspirant to represent Ndi Awka North and South at the Federal House of Representatives”. 

Hon. Nwankwo expressed happiness with the APGA party leadership which has promised all aspirants of a free and fair primaries. 

“I will continue to express my appreciation to our leaders in APGA, most especially our National Chairman, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, the NWC and NEC, the state EXCO and others. The 2023 general elections is a watershed election both for Nigeria, Ndi Anambra and Ndi Awka North and South. If we can elect the right people into office to work with our new Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, then we would have started the journey of re-constructing our local government, state, regional and national economies”, Honourable Nwankwo said. 

Continuing, he said that this is the time to elect seasoned technocrats into office, people who can think outside the box, men and women with international and national contacts that can attract development to their constituencies, not just relying on federal allocation. 

“I am running on the evidence of having the right contacts and network to attract development to Awka North and South. We know what is happening with federal allocations, so we can’t keep relying on that for the development of our constituency. I am ready and prepared to serve. I will leverage on my contacts and network to fast-track the socio-economic development of Awka North and South”, Nwankwo concluded.
