It was a Bloody Sunday today, 3rd April, 2022 as unknown gunmen gunned down two officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), along Igboukwu-Ezinifite-Uga road.
This is coming in the heels of the directive by the Governor of Anambra state, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for the Monday sit-at-home to end effective Monday, 4th April, 2022, with an 11am state-wide prayers.
Emma Powerful, spokesman of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) had in an earlier press release confirmed that the group has also stopped the Monday sit-at-home to give the Soludo peace initiative a chance.
Some Anambra residents who spoke to Umunna TV say that today’s attack may be to strike fear in the hearts of the people, so that they will observe Monday’s sit-at-home. Only time will tell whether life will return to normal in Anambra state from Monday.
