The 10-year-old female pupil of Chrisland School involved in the sex tape scandal has apologised over the incident.
Pupils from the private school located in Victoria Garden City were in the UAE to participate in the World School Games between March 10 and 13, 2022.
The pupil’s mother had earlier claimed she was raped during the school’s trip to Dubai.
In a post through her TikTok account — which has 12,400 followers — the pupil said she is sorry for her action.
“I made a mistake, now I’m living with the consequences. I regret it, I really do. And I’m sorry,” she wrote.
In another post, she wrote: “Don’t let your past dictate who you are, but let it be a lesson that strengthens the person you’ll become.”
The pupil also deleted all her videos on Likee, the short-video creation and sharing app. It is understood that she has about 526 dance videos on the account where she has more than 4,600 followers.
But when TheCable Lifestyle checked the account on Tuesday, all the videos had been removed.
“This account has been restricted,” a terse note on the page reads.
The Lagos state government had earlier ordered the closure of the school amid the dust trailing the sex tape — but reopened it after a few days.
