Yoruba Leaders Visit Sunday Igboho In Cotonou

By Godwin Okoro

Prominent Yoruba leaders have visited Chief Sunday Igboho, the Yoruba self-determination activist, and held a closed – door meeting with him on May 1st, 2022 in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

Those that visited him were Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, Prof. Wale Adeniran and Prof. Banji Akintoye.

Some online commentators have expressed dismay with prominent Igbo leaders who have continued to distance themselves from Mazi Nmamdi Kanu, who is also agitating for his people but currently in DSS detention.
