You Have Started A Revolution In Anambra’s Education Sector, Governor Soludo Tells Dr. Clem Nwogbo As He Commissions CSR Projects Funded By Awka Millennium City & MP Infrastructure At Two Awka Schools

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo today, Friday, 6th May, 2022, commissioned some corporate social responsibility projects at Capital City Secondary School and Amaenyi Primary School, both in Awka.

The projects were funded by Awka Millennium City Dev. Co. Ltd and M-P Infrastructure Ltd, which had adopted the schools. 

They include a storey building housing a digital library, classrooms and assembly hall for Capital City Secondary School, while Amaenyi Community Primary School got a grassed football field, perimeter fence, security and refurbished classroom block.

The governor, in his speech, identified human capital development as a key factor in building a greater future for Anambra State. 

He harped on the need to empower students through quality education and commended Chief Dr. Clem Nwogbo, Chairman of the companies for his landmark contributions to the development of the state. 

“You have started revolution in Anambra’s education sector”, Governor Soludo told Dr. Nwogbo.

Professor Soludo also urged ndi Anambra with means to emulate Chief Dr. Nwogbo and replicate the same gesture in their respective communities, noting that private individuals have a great role to play in making Anambra great.

The benefactor, Chief Dr. Nwogbo, in his speech expressed delight in being able to make sustainable social investments, adding that his efforts are in line with the agenda of the Soludo government, which is to build Anambra into a livable and prosperous smart megacity, driven by the philosophy of one Anambra, one people, and one agenda.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, in her remark, commended Chief Dr. Nwogbo for the huge legacy.

Governor Soludo, also at the event unveiled a plaque and officially commissioned the projects to commemorate the adoption of the two schools. 

The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uchenna Okafor, Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, the traditional ruler of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu, represented by his cabinet members, members of the State Executive Council, among others, graced the occasion.
