Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh has warned against malingering by students.
The Commissioner sounded the note of warning during an unsheduled visit to some Secondary Schools in Onitsha on Tuesday, 10th May, 2022.
Prof Ngozi Chuma – Udeh expressed dismay over the number of Anambra students found wandering in the street during school hours,stating that it portends ill for the educational system if left unchecked.
The Commissioner called on students to shun people that say education is a scam,adding that they do not have their interest at heart.
“Education is not a scam, Governor Soludo is determined to make your learning condition better. He is promising to make education better and viable.
Therefore you should shun anyone telling you that education is a scam,”she stated.
“Obeying your teachers,coming to school early and staying in your classes are how you chart your path to greatness,”she emphasised.
Some of the schools visited by the Commissioner were New Era Girl’s Secondary Schools, Onitsha and Prince Memorial High School, Onitsha.
