Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has declared, with immediate effect, a 24 – hour curfew in pursuance of peace and order in Sokoto metropolis and the entire state.
This is as tensions rise, and Muslim youths in Sokoto state protest, and attempt to set a Catholic Church on fire over the arrest by police of two persons allegedly behind the killing of Deborah, the Christian lady and student of University of Sokoto who was burnt alive on Friday, 13th May, 2022, for alleged blasphemy.
