In a rescheduled APGA primaries, which took place today, Sunday, May 29th, 2022, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of Chief Willie Obiano, the former Governor of Anambra state, won after scoring 152 votes.
Her closest rival, Chief Primus Odili scored 120 votes. Chief Odili was Chief of Staff to Governor Willie Obiano. His entry into the race had attracted criticisms from analysts who observed that it amounted to a direct challenge to his former boss and benefactor.
Final results are as follows:
(1) Ebelechukwu Obiano 152 votes
(2) Primus Odili 120 votes
(3) Tony Nnachetta 2 votes
(4) Samuel Onwuteaka 2 votes
