Every competition needs participants who really want to win – Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent (#AGT).
Applied to the 2023 presidential poll in #Nigeria, the election has participants who are desperate to win; some for over a decade, or even a lifetime!
Then, what do they want the power for? To serve personal interest or serve the best interest of the overwhelming majority of Nigerians?
I wish they could make a personal commitment to use the power, if they are lucky to get it, to serve the best interest of Nigerians.
What the people will like to hear from them all is how they will inspire an enduring change in the Nigerian situation in every sphere of life.
If they really want to serve the people, the frontrunners have the experience to do it but do they have the discipline and sincerity of purpose?
Nigeria cannot afford another 8 years of a docile, absent-minded, chronically parochial, manipulative or incompetent President.
If Nigeria gets it wrong this time, we are done for!!! Every Nigerian should get involved. Nigeria is desperate to have leaders who LOVE this country, not those who will pluck every plume out of its splendour or completely despoil it.
