Sterling becomes the first signings of the chairman & co-controlling owner at Chelsea; Todd Boehly.

On returning to London to play for Chelsea, Sterling said:
“First and foremost, it’s a pleasure to be here.
“I’ve obviously achieved a lot in my career so far, but there is still so much more to achieve and I’m really looking forward to doing that in a Chelsea shirt, under Thomas’s management.
“London is my home and where it all started for me, and it’s amazing I now have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family week in, week out at Stamford Bridge.
“I’m really looking forward to meeting the fans there soon.
“I do want to take the opportunity to thank Todd, Behdad, the ownership group, Thomas, and all involved in the process of getting me here.
“I can’t wait to get going now and continue to do my talking on the pitch.”
Reactions are rift as to possible jersy numbers for the new arrival, Raheem Sterling with jersy numbers 17 & 9 most prestigious and remains vacant at Stamford Bridge with loads of expectations from fans.
With Kovacic switching to jersey number 8 he has made the number 17 vacant and with Romelu Lukaku loan deal to inter milan, jersy number 9 remains also vacant and fans are hoping the jinx and expectations surrounding jersy numbers 9 won’t hold the England international spell bound if he eventually decides to wear the number 9 jersey; having in mind past elite players like, Alvaro Morata, Gonzalo Huguain, Radamel Falcao, Fernando Torres, Romelu Lukaku. Shirt numbers are very important to players and without a transfer or number change, if Sterling wishes to avoid number 17 & 9 jersey numbers, these are shirt numbers available to him: 2, 4, 15, 25, 26, 27, 30, 32, 33, and 34.
