The stage is set as Osun residents goes to the polls to elect who governs the state for the next four years.
The sitting Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC is seeking re-election into office for the next four years will slog it out against 14 other aspirants.

INEC resident electoral commissioner in the state Professor Ganiy Raji has assured all political parties level playing ground and denied the allegation that the commission plans using Amotekun security outfit in the conduct of the July 16 elections.
Professor Raji also pointed out that 1,480,000 PVC have been collected ahead of the election and the commission will ensure many young voters will have a smooth experience as materials are expected to arrive early and alot of improvements in the use of the new Bimodal Voter Accreditation Device from experience in Anambra and Ekiti and federal government security agencies are in collaboration with the commission to ensure peaceful polls.

At the time of filing this report election is currently ongoing in Osun and voting started early enough in all polling units in the state and voting process has remained peaceful.
