August is here again and a very important month in the igbo Calender especially the womenfolk .
The annual August meeting is what every igbo woman looks forward to, geared towards rural, religious and community development.
The Labour Party Candidate for Njikoka 2 Constituency, Hon. Humphrey Iloh has toured Abagana, Abba and Nimo towns interacting with women during their annual August meeting as he lauds Njikoka Women for their contributions towards community development at various quarters.

Speaking at St. Francis Catholic Church Abagana, Hon. Iloh thanked women for their support to their various families as he emphasized the various roles women play in the development of societal norms noting that as Nwa Nwanyi Ajadu he grew up learning and imbibing the resilience values of his mother.
Also at St. Paul’s Catholic Church Abba Mrs. Regina Igbo (President Catholic Women Organization) while thanking the Chaplain CWO Abagana Denary, Rev. Fr. Paul Chimezie for his patience and appreciated the team for the August visit as she promised that the women will, ahead of the 2023 elections ensure that credible and popular candidates with sterling qualities who will address the numerous challenges facing the constituency will be supported for various positions both at the national and state level.
Mr. Sunday Nwazojie while speaking at St. Kelvin’s Parish Nimo begged the women to welcome all parties who may likely come to visit them as he urges them to support the brotherly and equitable distribution of power between the three communities, Abagana, Abba, Nimo for posterity sake.
At Assumption Parish Nimo, the women could not hold back their joy as they danced to an OBIdient tunes immediately Hon. Humphrey Iloh announced to them that he is unapologetically OBIdient and that in 2014, that Abagana community obediently supported the incumbent, Hon. Pete Ibida in the spirit of brotherly and equitable distribution of power as earlier agreed by the three communities.
Hon. Iloh promised to continue to support women at all levels as he charged mother’s to hold onto those old sterling qualities of kindness, humility, good family upbringing, support for girl child education, moral values, appropriate dress code and also ensure these qualities are passed down to the family both male and female child alike.
