Enugu State Police Command Launches Manhunt For Killers Of Three Policemen

Enugu State Police Command has launched a manhunt for armed robbers who attack a police patrol vehicle at Chime Avenue, New Haven, Enugu, Wednesday night, killing three of their men.

Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, who made this known in a statement issued by the command, also confirmed the death of the three policemen shot by the hoodlums.

He said the Police has launched an intensive manhunt operation to fish out the unknown assailants whom he said operated in a Lexus Jeep.

The statement reads in part:

“Recall that the occupants of the Lexus Jeep suddenly opened fire on the moving Police Patrol Van on duty.

The shooting led to three of the operatives sustaining severe gunshots wounds and later confirmed dead at the hospital.”

ASP Ndukwe confirmed that the incident happened at about 10:15 Wednesday night along Chime Avenue, New Haven, Enugu.

The statement also stated that further development will be communicated to the public.
