Anambra State Government has reassured that it’s programs and policies are designed to favour youths in the state.
Speaking when executive and some members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Anambra State chapter, paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Government House, Awka, the state Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, who pointed out that the activities of the Soludo administration are designed to uplift the living standard of Ndi Anambra, said that the welfare of the youths is among the top priorities of the Soludo administration.
He reiterated the need for Ndi Anambra to combine efforts with the state government to enthrone the proposed livable and prosperous state, and charged the youths to endeavour to make other Anambra Youths proud through the various positions given to them to serve, reminding them that opportunity to occupy leadership positions should be for positive impact, delivery of selfless services and not for personal gains.
Earlier in his remark, the state Chairman of NYCN, Surveyor Emeka Obi, while commending the Soludo administration for efforts towards actualization of its campaign promises, assured that Anambra NYCN and the entire youths in the state are solidly behind his government, and will contribute its quota in making the state better.
He appealed to the state government to assist NYCN with funds, vehicles, organization of skills acquisition and empowerments programmes for the youths, among others.
In a vote of thanks, the Awka North Local Government Area Coordinator of the NYCN, Comrade Chibuzor Onukwube, lauded the youth friendly disposition of Governor Soludo and his Deputy, Dr Ibezim, expressing hope that Anambra youths have brighter future under their stewardship.
