
The Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Dr Victor Umeh OFR (Ohamadike Ndigbo) today joined an illustrious Anambraian and a distinguished son of Anaocha, Chief Sir Kelvin Ikenna Okafor (Ide Akwaeze) in a Thanksgiving Mass commemorating his 50th Birthday held at Corpus Christi Catholic Cathedral, Port Harcourt.
In the Mass presided by the Bishop of Port Harcourt Diocese, Most Rev. Camillus Etokudo and concelebrated by Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke – Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor – Bishop of Awka Diocese and Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye – Bishop of Nnewi Diocese among other bishops and priests; Senator Victor Umeh in company of his amiable wife, Lady Prisca Umeh felicitated with the golden jubilarian praying for many more fruitful years to come.

Senator Umeh in a remark described Ide Akwaeze as a man of immense goodwill and a practical Christian who inspite of his affluence upholds an uncommon faith in God. The Senator further acknowledged that Chief Sir Ikenna Okafor who is also a Papal Knight in the Catholic Church has made tremendous contributions towards the growth of the church and for the progress of the society.

He(Umeh) prayed God to bless the celebrant and his family with fruitful and happy years as he lives to celebrate many more anniversaries in many years to come.
The very colorful Event is attended by the creme de la creme of Anambra and Port Harcourt who have traveled from their respective destinations to grace the auspicious occasion to mention in particular, Chief Sir Cletus Ibeto, Hon. Chief Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, Mr Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, Chief JohnBosco Onunkwo, Chief Chinedu Madubuko, Chief Sir Bobcyril Okoye, Hon Ejike Okechukwu etc.
Nevertheless, the pinnacle of the segmented celebrations is underway tonight.
