Mr Seyi Tinubu, son of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has called on people of the South East to vote for APC in the coming Presidential elections.
Mr Tinubu who spoke during a courtesy visit on the traditional ruler of Mbaukwu in Awka South local government area of Anambra State, Igwe Peter Nwokike Anugwu, OFR, said; “I thank His Majesty, Igwe Anugwu for the warm reception. We are aware that royal fathers do not play partisan politics but we are in your palace today to show respect, pay homage and to intimate you and members of your cabinet of the agenda of APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We are here to also seek your support and royal blessings, likewise the blessings and support of members of your cabinet, Mbaukwu people and the entire Anambra people”.
“Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the experience, tolerance and capacity to change the fortunes of Nigeria for the best. Everyone has acknowledged that his core strength is his vision for peace, progress and economic development. He also has a penchant for discovering, nurturing and empowering talent. Testimonies abound across Nigeria, Igbos, Yorubas, Fulanis, Efiks, Ibibios, Hausas and all the other tribes”.
“Igbo people are very enterprising. A Tinubu administration will harness the entrepreneurial drive and hardwork ethos of Igbo people for the continued development of Nigeria”, he said.
“My father has shown from his days as the Governor of Lagos state that he is a detribalised Nigerian. He brought an Igbo man into the Lagos State executive cabinet. He Also empowered several others directly and indirectly. You have seen that Igbo people living in Lagos are thriving. They will thrive more under a Tinubu Presidency, and also help bring back additional resources home to develop the South-East”.
“Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the architect of modern Lagos. President Muhamadu Buhari has been in Lagos inaugurating economic projects, the Lekki Deep Sea Port, the Lagos Blue Line rail system and others. A Tinubu government will ensure an even spread of such projects to all parts of Nigeria, especially to the South East. That’s how Nigeria will achieve total development”.
“I am looking forward to engaging with and listening to Anambra people, stakeholders, civil society organizations and others on this trip. We will take back all that information to the candidate himself and to the campaign organization”.
While introducing Seyi Tinubu, Uzuegbunam Okagbue, former Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, said that Mr Seyi Tinubu and the Tinubus are not strangers in Igboland, as Seyi Tinubu Is married to an Igbo woman. “We have to give the Tinubus, being our inlaws our support. The same way he is taking care of our daughter is the same way he will ensure that what should come to Ndigbo reaches them under a Tinubu Presidency. We are not going to be outsiders in a Tinubu Presidency as some assume”.
While welcoming Seyi Tinubu and members of his entourage to his palace, and during the breaking of kolanut, Igwe Anugwu prayed for good health and long life for all present, and the APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He prayed that God’s will, and the will of the people be done in the coming elections.
“We will say more when the candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu himself comes to campaign in Anambra state”, Igwe Anugwu concluded.
