A 30 Year Old Man Identified As Chinenye Mark From Abaye Ohanze In Obingwa Local Government Area Of Abia State, Was Today Killed While Trying To Vandalize Component Parts Of A Distribution Transformer Which Supplies Power To The Area.
The Deceased Was Found Dead Within The Enclosure Of The Transformer.
It Was Gathered That The Incident Occured At About 3am At A Sub Station In Amaorji Ukwu Also In Obingwa LGA, A Subsidiary Of Geometric Power Which Has The Sole Franchise To Supply Power To Nine Out Of 17 Local Government Areas In Abia State.
Engineer Jude Efidi, A Commercial Manager With Aba Power, Said That He Was Tampering With The High Tension Wire Without Knowing It Was Carrying Electricity.
